Rolex Always Among The Best Global Brands

Hans Wisdorf

Among the countless achievements which have made Rolex a force to reckon with is the trust people have reposed in it all across the world. It’s not something that one earns with one incident or something one can ever be sure of accomplishing. Nonetheless it is something that goes beyond the usual business goals that any and every individual or business would aspire for. But Rolex has done it and has been doing it for a long long time now to have emerged as one of the most well recognized and loved brands all across the world. This fact only got reinforced when Interbrand came out with its latest list of Best Global Brands 2009. In the prestigious list Rolex has quite comfortably managed to secure a place for itself at the 68th position.

The fact of the matter is Rolex is that kind of a brand that in reality is not exactly hungry for anyone to mark it as one of the best brands. It has a history that is envied by even the best of brands. When almost a century ago Hans Wilsdorf had a vision to come out with a watch which would in times to come revolutionize the world of watchmaking no one would have believed that anything like that can actually happen. But it goes to the credit of the people behind Rolex that they not only ensured that that would happen but went beyond the expectations of the most optimists of the people.

The way Rolex evolved to become one the most loved and preferred brands in the world is an achievement in itself. The Swiss watchmaker didn’t move with the traditional view that people had about a timepiece. But that doesn’t mean that they didn’t focus on the primary function a watch is supposed to perform. You pick any watch from the house of Rolex and you would realize that it would be a certified chronometer. So when it comes to telling time Rolex watches are undoubtedly supreme. Among all the watchmakers in the world Rolex has the distinction of having maximum number of certified chronometers in its collection.

Another factor that went into making Rolex what it is today was innovating edge Rolex watches used to and still bring out. Rolex was the very first manufacturer of watches to come out with a watch which was resistant to water. Something which others were not even thinking of was whatRolex Rolex made a rule which eventuality became one of the basic desirable features of every watch. And Rolex didn’t stop there. It kept improving on the depths to which a watch can be water resistant with the result that today Rolex has in its collection watches which resist water to depths as low as 300 m or 1000 feet.

Also, it was Rolex which came out with a watch that showed the date as well the day on the dial. These added some new feathers to Rolex’s illustrious hat. Now whenever someone goes out to buy a watch it is taken for granted that the watch must have good water resistance capacity and should show date and day but had it not been for Rolex this would have been impossible. And it is because of qualities like these that Rolex today is proudly included in the list of World’s Best Global Brands.

Kim Cattrall And Rolex Cellini Cellissima Are True Exceptions To The Rule

Kim Cattrall

Rolex watches claim for a kind of elite populism and yet turn this value upside down because Rolex watches refuse to spell snobbery and want to be known for the luxurious experience that they promise for the price they quote. The Cellini collection has been introduced to luxury watch wearers across the world as a way of delivering to them an experience that is not only fantastic but also worth every penny that is spent on the making of the watch and its buying. Cellini watches make an impact from the first time they strike the eye because they are exceptions to not only the typical watch making rules but to Rolex watch making tradition as well. The Cellini collection watches are unique in every sense of the term and it has taken the standard of some of the best watches in the global market to a point when they are rethinking how they’d like their watches to be exhibited and what mechanism should run their watches. Cellini watches are manufactured in keeping with a design that will not only be different from the rest of the time keepers but also serve a performance that is unparalleled. Kim Cattrall has made a name for herself in the television and movie industry because she has always created a distinct mark for herself whether it is on TV or films. Kim Cattrall has made individuality her own person because like the Cellini collection she has always set out to live a life that many envy and play roles whose character may have been conventional but to which Kim Cattrall added her own persona and created a success story.

Kim Cattrall created a benchmark in individual expression with her role in Sex and the City and has also lent her charm to films like Police Academy, Mannequin and Big Trouble in Little China. The actress always chooses a path that is not conventional and relates to the Rolex Cellini Cellissima in the way it pursues non-conformity.

Rolex Cellini Cellissima

The Rolex Cellini Cellissima is a striking watch that has set many talking about how distinctively stylish Rolex can get. The Cellini collection not only pushes the envelope when it comes to setting a statement but is also efficient in its performance. The Rolex Cellini Cellissima borrows from this idea and the 18ct white gold collection that comes out from the Rolex stable keeps the quartz movement in place in the mechanism that runs the watch. Not only is the Rolex Cellini Cellissima equipped with a superior case design but the Rolex aficionado can decide if he wants his watch to feature an elegant round or a tonneau shaped design. The Rolex Cellini Cellissima model also features a diamond set component that continues from the bezel on to the bracelet that runs through the watch. Rolex Cellini Cellissima is specially designed to feature either case to bracelet attachment or a leather strap that looks equally stylish and all set to dazzle. The Rolex Cellini Cellissima is not only unique in terms of its design but also the quality that it promises to serve to its wearers. The white dial that the watch figures also has roman numerals keeping the time in place and the Rolex Cellini Cellissima’s gold folding clasp just adds widely to its charm. The bezel is also set with brilliants and this element lends a great degree of uniqueness to the watch that like Kim Cattrall rightly claims to capture a million hearts because it presents true exceptions to the rule.

Competition For Coveted Rolex Player Of The Year Award Getting Tougher

LPGA

Dream of every lady professional golfer is to work hard and give in her best throughout the year to ensure that at the end of the year she can lay claim to the most coveted Rolex Player of the Year Award. This is an award which has evolved to become one of the biggest motivational forces behind the endless efforts that woman players give day in and day out. Their desire to reach the top and win the Rolex Player of the Year Award is understandable too. There are multiple champions in a year all of whom are very talented and successful too but there is always only one who can be called the champion of the champions and that individual is the proud winner of Rolex Player of the Year Award.

The prestigious Rolex Player of the Year Award can be won after one has performed consistently throughout the year. It is undoubtedly the most cherished dream of every golfer on the LPGA Tour. The way to come up with the award winner is a formula based approach. To put it broadly players are awarded points for every top 10 finish in a tournament which get doubled in case of LPGA’s four major championships as well as the season-ending Tour Championship. A player who wins the tournament gets 30 points whereas the runners-up gets only 12 points. The one who comes 3rd is awarded nine points and one at 4th gets seven. After that as the position falls so do the points with one point fall for every one level lower rank such that one who comes 10th gets one point. At the end of the year the one’s overall performance across all the tournaments one has participated in determines who will get to lay her hands on the coveted Rolex Player of the Year Award.

Rolex

Since February 2009 every lady golfer has been trying real hard in various tournaments to earn as many points as she can to make sure as the tour ends towards the end of the year she can be as comfortable as possible in eventually winning the Rolex Player of the Year Award. But as the same dream is shared by every golfer on the tour the competition can reach unimaginable levels. In fact something similar has been the story of the 2009 LPGA Tour as well.

The leaders’ table is presently headed by the Mexican golfer Lorena Ochoa who has had a phenomenal year in which she participated in 43 tournaments and with an average of more than 10 points per event she is sitting comfortably at the top. Her closest competitor is the sensation of the year Jiyai Shin who in her rookie year has surpassed all expectations to emerge as the clear contender for the Rolex Rookie of the Year Award and a potential threat to well established players for the Rolex Player of the Year Award too. Completing the top three spots is the Norwegian golfer Suzann Pettersen who has 8.33 average points as compared to Jiayi Shin’s 8.77 points. The race to the top has been made more difficult as many tour winners are also in the race. With still lots of action left in 2009 season players like Yani Tseng, Cristie Kerr, Paula Creamer, Angela Stanford and Karrie Webb stand a chance for causing many upsets.
