Men's Rolex Presidents

About The Rolex President (Day Date Presidential)

Introduced at the Basel Fair in 1956, the Rolex Day Date President is the flagship, highest-end Rolex wristwatch. Originally named the “Day Date,” it gained its name as the “President” when it was gifted by the Rolex corporation to President Dwight D. Eisenhower in honor of his re-election.  Over the years, the Rolex Day Date wristwatch also became the favorite of many other U.S. Presidents, leading Rolex to undertake an aggressive advertising campaign with the slogan, “Men who guide the destinies of the world wear Rolex watches." Today, consequently, the Rolex Day Date is popularly known as the “President” or “Presidential.”

Originally appreciated for its uniqueness in showing both the date and the day on the dial, the Rolex President is currently available in 26 different displayed languages. Further distinguishing this luxury timepiece is its thick "President" bracelet with concealed clasp, and the fact that the Day Date is only available in solid gold or platinum.
