CHOPARD WATCHES

Founded by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in 1860, the Swiss company Chopard is synonymous with luxury for many around the globe. As a top brand of precise mechanical timepieces, however, the Chopard brand is also known as a manufacture, the French term for a watchmaker that makes its own parts and movements in-house, rather than using pre-made watch elements supplied by others. Entertainment professionals, such as Spike Lee and Simon Cowell are known to wear Chopard’s Mille Miglia, while famed model and actress Andie MacDowell prefers the Chopard Ice Cube. Clearly, the frank beauty of Chopard designs, coupled with its attention to detail and superior technology, place the brand at the very top of the luxury field.

Where Luxury and Innovation Meet

In 1975, Chopard expanded its traditional timepiece line with the introduction of heavily jeweled watches. The Happy Diamond collection was immediately popular with collectors and fashionistas alike and remains beloved worldwide. In 1988, Chopard began cooperating with the Mille Miglia rally in Italy, a yearly, international vintage and classic car event. To this day, Chopard releases a yearly special edition Mille Miglia in honor of the association. Chopard also sponsors the Cannes Film Festival, where visiting international celebrities routinely sport the most luxurious wristwatches of the Chopard collection.
